‘No Church In The Wild’ is the song I have chosen to film for my Media NEA work. In the music video you see protesters/rioters going up against riot police.
This video made in a creative way in my opinion because its not a classic music video. It’s more a music video slash short documentary. Jay Z is in Jamaica working on this song with Damian Marley the youngest son of Reggae legend Bob Marley. In the video the music culture and the Jamaican life style is portrayed very well. Jay Z says during the video that being in Jamaica is very humbling. Over all i feel this video has a very nice message.
The song title ‘The story of O.J.’ refers to former NFL player O.J. Simpson who was accused and acquitted for killing his ex-wife and her friend. This trial put a strain on the relationship between the black community of Los Angeles and the LAPD. The title is also a play on ‘The story of O’ which from a famous french novel written in 1954 about dominance and submission. One of the samples used in this song is from ‘Four women’ by Nina Simone, she tells the story of four black women, all with different skin tones, and the struggles they faced. I think this song can definitely be classified as protest song. It carries a strong message about black community and the racism they have had to put up with. The song suggests that no matter if you are rich or poor, light skinned or dar skinned as a black individual you will be criticised by your skin colour and not your success in a racist community.
This song and video have less of a message. I like this video because in my opinion it is creative but simple. There are only three different key scenes in this video. Which is Kanye and Jay-Z rapping in front of the American flag, the two drifting in a modified Maybach and the two in front of some firework display. So although there is not much going on I like the video because of its simplicity.

Hello, This will be my A level media blog where i will be posting my music video and other things. Ejnoy!

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.
You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
